Dr. Katherine Isbister is an Associate Professor of both Computer Science Engineering and Digital Media at NYU's Polytechnic Institute. She also maintains an affiliation with IT University in Copenhagen’s Center for Computer Games Research. Isbister directs the Social Game Lab at Polytechnic – NYU, and serves on the Advisory Committee of the NYU Game Center. She has authored two books - Better Game Characters by Design and Game Usability. Better Game Characters was nominated for a Game Developer Magazine Frontline Award. She was selected as one of = MIT Technology Review's TR100 Young Innovators most likely to shape the future of technology.
