Two Player PingPong

PingPong was written by Karan Anand. It is a two player game, though you could play it by yourself, but it’s much harder that way. So, go ahead and grab a Friend and try it out!!

  1. I like this – it’s almost like a “doubles tennis” take on ping pong. Each player controlling two pads is a neat twist. Also, I love the changing background color to indicate score. And the fact that you can redeem yourself by hitting the ball correctly. As soon as I realized I was going to miss a shot, I was disappointed that I’d have to restart, but then when it just warned me to not miss the shots by getting redder, I was relieved.

Small issues: The paddle speed is pretty slow. Frequently I knew I wanted the paddle way on the other side of the screen, but there just wasn’t enough time. If you added some acceleration when the paddle is being moved a long distance, you could keep the small movements the same (they were easy to control, which is good for such small paddles).
New images for the paddles that show where their edges will bounce to would be nice. I know if you hit it on the edge it will bounce farther in that direction, but it’d be nice to know if it’s more the closer to the corner, or less.
I know I survived more than 9 seconds, so I don’t know if it’s calculating differently than from the start of the game, or if the display isn’t showing the second digit, but it seems off.
