The Games for Learning Institute will again co-host the annual Games for Change Festival at New York University on June 18 – 20, 2012.
Often referred to as “the Sundance of Video Games”, the Games for Change Annual Festival is the biggest gaming event in New York City. It brings together leaders from government, corporations, philanthropy, civil society, media, academia and the gaming industry to explore the increasing real-world impact of digital games as an agent for social change.

As part of the G4C Festival, G4LI hosts one full day of programming with speakers from the areas of game research, game design and development, and educational assessment. The 2011 G4LI Day included a keynote talk by Gabe Newell, Founder and CEO of Valve Software, creator of Portal. This year’s speakers TBA.
